Schedule: Full-time — 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM — No remote work

What You’ll Be Doing

Your role will combine diagnostics and hands-on mechanical repair.
You’ll be one of our go-to techs for heavy-duty troubleshooting and accurate repairs.

Daily responsibilities:

  • Diagnose & repair heavy-duty diesel engines and commercial trucks
  • Complete OEM repair procedures and follow manufacturer standards
  • Perform mechanical repairs including:
  • Truck brakes
  • Radiators & cooling systems
  • Suspension & steering
  • Electrical & aftertreatment
  • Use OEM & aftermarket diagnostic software
  • Perform NYS & DOT inspections
  • Document all work clearly using our shop management system
  • Support and mentor junior techs when needed
  • Work closely with a foreman who keeps jobs moving and supports you

What We’re Looking For

These requirements help filter for real heavy-duty experience:

Required

  • 5+ years of heavy-duty diesel truck or commercial equipment experience
  • Experience with Freightliner, International, Volvo/Mack, Ford, Isuzu, Hino, etc.
  • Capable of performing both diagnostics and mechanical repairs
  • Familiarity with aftertreatment systems (DPF, SCR, EGR)
  • Experience using OEM or high-end diagnostic platforms
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL A/B preferred but not required)
  • Must own necessary hand tools for commercial trucks
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced, high-standard shop

Preferred (but not required)

  • CDL License
  • Prior fleet or dealership experience
  • Any leadership, foreman, or mentor experience

Pay: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year

Experience:
