Diesel Mechanic – Commercial Fleet Services
Mobile Auto Mechanics LI is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to support our growing commercial fleet client base throughout Long Island and NYC. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys diagnosing and repairing diesel-powered vehicles in both mobile and shop-based environments.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, transmissions, and aftertreatment systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service on commercial trucks and vans
- Conduct DOT inspections and ensure fleet compliance with state and federal regulations
- Respond to mobile service calls and emergency breakdowns at client locations
- Accurately document repairs, parts used, and service recommendations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
- Strong understanding of heavy-duty and medium-duty commercial vehicles
- Experience with diagnostic software and electrical troubleshooting
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
